In the spinning and twisting mills of today, automation is becoming a necessity. Saurer serves as your expert engineering
partner for integrated automation solutions across the entire textile value chain. 

The Saurer Robot AGV is designed for the ergonomic handling and transportation of cylindrical or conical cross-wound packages. It picks up the packages from a pallet, buggy, trolley or from the conveyor belt of the machine and stores them in its internal buffer system. Then it transports and loads the packages to the subsequent process fully automatically, e.g.:

  • From the yarn warehouse onto creel and pot position of your twisting machine
  • From the machine’s conveyor belt to your central warehouse or yarn relaxing area
  • From the yarn warehouse or machine onto your creels
     

Due to the modern laser navigation system, the Saurer Robot AGV moves fully automatically and autonomously through your mill. It detects obstacles in its path independently and drives around them or stops if the minimum safety
distance is not maintained.

To further enhance safety while the robot moves, a collaborative robot, a so-called cobot, is used. Cobots are allowed to work in close proximity to humans, as they stop immediately
when coming into contact with any obstacle.
