US company successfully integrates AutoCreeler into textile production

In the first quarter of 2024, the AutoCreeler prototype was successfully put into operation and integrated into ongoing production at a customer in the USA. Following comprehensive employee training, the machine was successfully accepted. The AutoCreeler enables an automated splicing process in the heatset creel, ensuring a continuous process for the subsequent heatsetting. This pilot system is equipped with two linear axes and can move to 24 positions with maximum repeat accuracy. The use of established safety sensors minimises hazards for man and machine, allowing manual placement even during operation.

Saurer Robot AGV

Holistic automation solutions from Saurer

Together with our product for package transport, which was specially developed for the removal and intermediate storage of twisted packages, and the Robot AGV for the automatic feeding of cabling machines with feed packages, Saurer offers its customers integrated automation solutions for modern twisting mills.

The Robot AGV is designed to handle and transport cross-packages ergonomically. It loads its internal storage system from a pallet or package trolley and loads the cabling machine fully automatically. Thanks to the laser navigation system, it can navigate autonomously through the production facility and automatically recognise obstacles in its path.

The package transport system takes over and transports the twisted packages from the cabling machine’s conveyor belt fully automatically and transports them via an intermediate storage device to the next step of further processing, the heatsetting.
